Root to Bloom Nutrition Therapy only sees clients virtually at this time.
-
We provide nutrition therapy to adults in California, Massachusetts, New York, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, and Virginia.

Root to Bloom Nutrition Therapy does not offer rigid or rule-based meal plans. Instead, we’ll explore your energy needs, meal timing, and food preferences. We’ll discuss nutrition guidelines and best practices, but ultimately, there is no universal, one-size-fits-all approach to eating. The goal is to support you in building the skills and knowledge so that you can make food decisions that feel right for you—because your nutrition should be personal, adaptable, and rooted in your real life.

While we have so much compassion for the desire to lose weight, we do not prescribe weight loss.
Root to Bloom Nutrition Therapy provides weight-inclusive care, meaning we approach health and well-being without focusing on weight loss or weight status as a primary goal or outcome. Our goal is to support you in developing sustainable health-promoting behaviors and mindsets, regardless of whether or not your body/shape/size changes.
While body changes may happen along the way, they are not guaranteed. The hope is to support you in finding freedom and self-trust in your relationship with food and your body, wherever that journey leads.

Yes, and that part is accepted here and held with care, too. Many of us hold onto certain beliefs about food, body, or control because they’ve felt safe, familiar, or even necessary. Exploring these feelings is a valid and meaningful part of the process. This space welcomes your questions, doubts, and all parts of you, wherever you are in your journey.
We share our values & philosophies because it’s important to know that this work is rooted in a weight-inclusive approach. If you’re specifically seeking support for intentional weight loss, this may not be the right fit. That said, there’s space here to explore your desire for weight loss with care, curiosity, and compassion.
If you're open to unpacking that desire while working toward a more peaceful, connected relationship with food, body, and movement, you’re in the right place.

It depends! The length of our work together depends on individual needs, such as your goals, current food and body beliefs, your dieting history, your readiness for change, existing support systems, and how you envision nutrition therapy supporting your life.
Some folks come for short-term support around a specific concern or season of their life, while others benefit from a longer-term space for deeper healing, skill-building, and ongoing care. The length of time isn’t a reflection of how “well” you’re doing—it’s about what kind of support feels most helpful for you. Think of nutrition therapy as something you can lean on as needed, for as long as it serves you.
We’ll check in regularly, and while the decision to continue working together is shared, you ultimately get to decide what’s right for you. The pace and direction of our work will always be guided by your needs, values, and capacity.

You can find more details about what to expect in our initial and follow-up sessions on the Services Page, but in general, each session is shaped by your needs, goals, and where you’re at that day.
My counseling style draws from a range of therapeutic frameworks, such as Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), adapting to what resonates and supports your process. Our work is collaborative and flexible, with ongoing space to check in and reflect, adjust goals, and explore what’s helpful (and what’s not).
Together, we’ll shape a space that feels safe, responsive, and aligned with your growth.

A 24 hour notice is required for canceling appointments. Appointments canceled within 24 hours of the appointment time will be billed a $60 late fee. The late fee will be waived in cases of emergencies or extenuating circumstances at the discretion of Root to Bloom Nutrition Therapy.
A 48 hour notice is required for rescheduling appointments. If the client reschedules with less than a 48 hour notice and successfully reschedules their appointment time within a week of their original appointment date, the late fee will be waived.

Fantastic! The first step is to schedule a 15-minute Clarity Call. This gives us a chance to connect, explore your needs, and decide together if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, you’ll get to book your initial session. Before we begin, you’ll complete a few intake forms, including a comprehensive initial questionnaire, practice policies, and an insurance form & script (if you are using insurance). From there, we’ll find a rhythm that works for us with regular follow-up appointments.
